September is a wonderful month, is it not? We look around us and watch as the season slowly changes, and no more is it more evident or (in my humble opinion), more beautiful than it is in September.
Of course it does get a little nippy during these times. I of course bundle myself in robes...usually. I remember a time Aberforth and I took a trip to Siberia to visit with some distant cousins. There's no better way to greet someone than to take a dip in their ice-cold pool with nothing but the slimmest of bathers on. Subsequently, saying "Lovely country you have here," is quite difficult when your teeth won't stop chattering.
But alas, I digress!
As requested, I will be seeing most of you again soon. Until then, enjoy the turning of the season. Enjoy your September. |

I do hope that this Summer has seen you well. For those looking to hear from me somewhat impersonally, I'll be a guest on WWN's news magazine programme "Wadalbert Irons Live, Sort of". We'll be discussing Muggle parlour games, amongst many things.
And of course, I hope for a well received September First to all Hogwarts students. I'll be addressing you again soon.

This should have been a more happier announcement, but as I write this I'm getting word that students have been showing Professor Snape some serious disrespect in his own classroom.
Now, suffice it to say this is not acceptable. Not acceptable at all. Professor Snape has reminded me to remind you all, or rather, to let you all know, that Proffesor Snape is a distinguished scholar in the field of Solution and concoction brewing, with an education to rival some of the greatest of our age. I'll start at the beginning, when a young Severus in his first year created a concoction to grow wings on flightless birds who didn't necessarily wanted to fly, and were never any good at it, but nevertheless such a miracle perpetrated by such a young and agile mind...
*Rambling talk of Severus and his accomplishments in a semi-tongue-in-cheek-manner proceed for the next several feet*
...which might have been the biggest bubotubor I've, ever seen. Now, uh..I see time is short, so I'll conclude with please try to show the Professor more respect in the future. I've left the matter in his capable hands. I'm sure it'll be dealt with fairly.

No wait. I remember I wanted to announce something. Right, thank you Fawkes. Next month as a gift of encouraging House Unity, I and the rest of the staff are ready to instigate a House Swap. I believe this will be the first time it will have been done in many many years. How this will work is simple: beginning the First of next month, the students named will pack up their things and move to their new home, wherever that may be. You will be giving new robes, new sitting arraignments, and a new point of view of how the other side thinks.
Now some my take this as an opportunity to sabatoge the other Houses. Now competitiveness is all well and good, but be warned that any blatant attempts to undermine your new House will have serious repercussions, including Points taken from your real House. So be good!
Except for during Quidditch matches, you will be required to go to class, eat, and mingle if you can, with your new buddies. Get to know them. You can either make this the shortest, most exhilarating month of your life, or the longest. The choice is up to you.

From Gryffindor:
Miss Hermione Granger will be moving to Hufflepuff
Miss Parvati Patil will be moving to Slytherin
Mr. Euan Abercrombie in Ravenclaw
From Slytherin:
Miss Pansy Parkinson will be moving to Ravenclaw
Miss Emma Dobbs will be moving to Hufflepuff
Mr Tom Hilezkor will be moving to Gryffindor
From Ravenclaw:
Miss Marietta Edgecombe will be moving to Gryffindor
Miss Padma Patil will be moving to Slytherin
Miss Viola Glenn will be moving to Hufflepuff
From Hufflepuff:
Miss Eloise Midgen will be moving to Gryffindor
Mr. Miles Summers will be moving to Ravenclaw
and Mr. Cedric Diggory will be moving to Slytherin
New class schedules will be sent to everyone mentioned above. Depend on your new Housemates to get you to your classes on time.
Anyone with any concerns concerns can contact me or their Heads of House, the latter being the preferred method since I'll be quite busy and may not get back to you as soon as you'd like. In the meantime, get read, and rev up for a jolly good time, getting to know your fellow students as I'm sure you all would like to.
